Some Useful Goods While Power Stopped

When I found power and telephone lines were stopped just after the quake, I got the information by my mobile phone's TV service. And the corresponding by mails were available for communication with outside.

I had happened to buy a very useful goods which could be used as radio, handlight, alarm and mobile charger worked by turning handle.

This old radio was useful to get informations.

Though still we can't take bath nor shower, we boil hot water with this big pan and wash ourselves to keep cleanliness at the least.

Hi Hideko, I am glad you are managing well during this hard time. I showed Bruce (DH) your post and he said “The Japanese have a lot of cool things that we don’t have”! We like the recharger/handlight/alarm thing. Take care, you are in our thoughts and hearts every day. Hugs, Cathy

Hallo Hideko,
I feel so sad so many people in your region are in pain and affected by this terrible quake.
I will express my strongest feelings of sorrow. I wish you the very best, that they can get rid of all the nuclear problems at fukushima plant!
Just right now, I am sewing a quilt for Japan! Hope all the quilts collected in Europe and all over the world will end up in regions where they are needed and can ease some pain! but I think positive, and think to myself they will!
Good luck and I wish you the very best!
