母の布アルバム2頁目 Mother's Albumn/ 2nd page

Do you remember my last post of my mother's fabric albumn?
I've been so slow but finally finished the second page.

Here's the completed one.

This is the third block I've pieced.I think this photo was taken at the graduation of college when Mother was 23 years old.

Hideko, This is so nice. You are the second person who makes a fabric book with family photos. I feel very inspired by you and Gunnel and already searching for old looking fabrics. I have photos and handwriting and handwork items from my grand- and greatgrandmothers .....

Your book is beautiful and inspiring. Did you transfer the pictures onto fabric or are they still paper?

I can't wait to see the finished project.

Thank you very much for your kind words, Ati and Melissa. I started this project inspired by Gunnel too. I transfered the photos onto silk. I used iron transfer method this time because the photos appear very clear (I feel so), though the transfered area of fabric is pretty thick, not so smooth for needles.
