Anne's block before me.
ノートには、ミュシャのポスターを飾ってある寝室におくクッションカバーにするつもりだとあります。
She will make a cushion cover of this block in her bedroom, where two posters of Mucha are hung on the wall. She had put the photos of them.
ポスターの図案の中から何かヒントを探したいと思い、グレーの半円の中にある扇模様をシームステッチに応用しようと思い、キャロル・サンプルのシームステッチ図案集から似たようなものを探しました。バラのモチーフ、アールヌーボーなので、もっとなだらかな曲線に仕上げればよかったと反省しています。
I did two seams from Carole Sample's book. I took the designs which reminded the patterns on the grey semilunar shapes. I should have carved the rose stem more as an art nouveau line.

難しそう・・・。他の方のものだからこそ、尚のこと、難しいでしょうね。この布の色合わせが、まさしく、ミュシャの絵の色になっていますよね。クレージーって、刺繍の饗宴という感じですね。コラージュは、チャームの饗宴。キルトは布の。
２週間後、ミュシャの美術館に行ってきます。滑り止め持参で。
色合いは自分でも好きだったのですが、空いているパッチがてんでんばらばらで、まとまりを持たせることができなかったのが、苦労といえば苦労でした。私はどちらかというといつもブロック全体に物語を想像するのが好きなので。
