さて今日は読者プレゼントのくじ引きの日でした。アメリカでは２７日の終わりは日本の今日午後になりますから、一応その時間まで待ってから、ブログとフリッカーのページにコメントを下さった人の名前を小さな紙に書いて折りたたんで、かごの中でかき混ぜてから、二つ引きました。

Today is the day of drawing for my giveaway. The entries were 38 in total. Thank you very much to all for your comments on my blog and flickr site. I wrote down each name on a small paper, put them together in a basket and drew two pieces.



引いた結果です。オランダのマルグリートとナオコさんです。くじですから私の意志は働いていないはずなのに、何だか妙に結果に納得してしまいました。マルグリートは合わせて４つもコメントをくれたので当たる確率は一番高かったはずです。ナオコさんについて私は内心、当たればいいなあ、と自分でも思っていました。なぜかほとんど海外のコメントしか届かなくて淋しい中、日本から声をかけて下さる方があると本当に励まされます。ナオコさん、コメントを頂いたかいがありました。ありがとうございます。後で住所を教えて下さいね。

読者プレゼント My Giveaway

さて紐を通して、できあがり８ｘ１０cm 小袋が三つ完成しました。実はこれを作ったのにはわけがあります。年が明けてまもなくですが何気なくブログのカウンター数を見たとき、5万９千を越えていて、自分でその数字に驚きました。そして６万回を節目に読者プレゼントをしようと思ったのです。今年はいろいろ６０に縁がある年でもあります。昨夜寝ている間に6万回を越えていました。誰がちょうど６万番目だったのでしょう？

I've just completed the pouches. To tell the truth, I started making these when I found the hit number of my blog was counted over 59 thousand. Isn't it suprising there are so many visitors to my humble blog from all over the world? I thought I have to express my thanks for your encouragement. While I was sleeping last night a sixty thousandsth visitor seemed to have slipped here.




しかし、何事であれ長く続けるには、いつも暖かい励ましや見守りという大勢の人からの力が必要です。6万番目の訪問者がたまたま誰かであったとしても、私のクレージーキルトに興味をもって毎回訪れて下さるたくさんの方々がいたからこそ、今までブログも続けてこれました。３年前に始めたとき、最初は日本の中の訪問者は数えるほどでしたが今はかなりの方がいらして下さっています。このブログで紹介してきたような、現在世界で楽しまれているような形のクレージーキルトは、本もありませんし（是非入門書を一冊訳したいと思っているところです）日本ではまだまだ知られていません。少しでも興味をもつ方が増えるのはうれしいことです。この小袋はいらして下さる方々への、ささやかな感謝のしるしとして、プレゼントするつもりで作りました。

Here are three jewelry pouches I've finished. I've made these as small presents for my readers who have supported me, a rather lonely cqer in Japan where CQ is not known well yet. I wish I could make more. But anyway this's my first attepmt of giveaway.
